What is Bordeaux? It’s a city in southwestern France, the fourth largest city in France. It’s a major port on the Atlantic Ocean. It’s also a large, important wine region, producing more wine than any other French AOC region. And it’s the name of a whole family of wines.

The first thing to know is that even if you have a vineyard in Burgundy, it does not mean that you can write appellation Bourgogne wine on the label of the wine produced by this property and it does not mean the wine is not good either.
